All About Seniors, Inc. is on a mission to provide the residents of Calgary, AB with high-quality senior care. They’re passionate about providing meaningful companionship to clients in senior care facilities, and alternatives to nursing facility-life whenever possible.

As Founder Lynn Cannon puts it, “We don’t consider how long it takes to give our seniors the care they need. We have one person in front of us to love, and nothing’s a waste of time if it helps us understand how to connect with the people we care for.”

Unfortunately, staying visible in a saturated market like senior care is a challenge, especially in a city as large as Calgary. As Kevin Jensen, CFO at AAS, recalls:

“We had no search or advertising presence. If you Googled terms like ‘Calgary senior care’ or ‘Calgary home care’—things we should’ve ranked for—you wouldn’t even find us on the eighth or ninth page. You couldn’t find us online at all.”

Lynn and Kevin both knew that their anonymity would need to change if they wanted to achieve their goal of providing top-shelf care and attention to Calgary’s residents.

“I looked at our target market—people in their 40s and 50s looking to get care for their parents—and I knew they were looking for us online, searching for a reputable company to provide that care,” Kevin says. “We wanted to be their solution, but first we needed them to be able to find us.”

Together, Lynn and Kevin began searching for a solution. They began hunting down SEO companies who ranked well locally.

“I wanted an SEO company which ranked within the top three.” Kevin laughs, “I mean, when you’re hiring someone to help you rank well, you want to make sure they can deliver on their promises, right?”

That’s how All About Seniors, Inc. discovered Inbound Interactive.

Local & Organic SEO Campaigns

The decision to hire Inbound Interactive wasn’t immediate. First, Kevin interviewed all three companies to find the best fit. It wasn’t until meeting Calin, founder of Inbound Interactive, that something clicked.

“I looked into all three companies, and Calin stood out. He’s a smart, business-oriented, very personable guy,” Kevin says.

Lynn agrees, “All About Seniors is my love, my ministry, and my great passion. When I met Calin, that’s what I felt from him—he strives to understand your business, and he wants you to succeed. This is what he loves to do.”

“His whole team showed so much genuine interest,” Kevin adds. “And they got excited dreaming up short-term and long-term ideas that would benefit our business.”

The first improvement Inbound Interactive brought to bear for AAS was dedicated keyword research. Then they launched into location optimization, structural modifications, and content updates. They also installed performance tracking software so that Lynn and Kevin could see hard proof of their website’s improvements.

Throughout this process, Lynn and Kevin were impressed by Inbound Interactive’s transparent work ethic:

“They clearly set our expectations; they told us rank improvements wouldn’t happen overnight,” Kevin recalls. “But month after month, Inbound Interactive kept us up-to-date on tweaks they were making, what was working, and what we needed to rethink.”

Once Inbound Interactive finished optimizing AAS’s onsite elements, they turned their attention to content development. They rewrote their ‘Companionship Care’ and ‘Senior Care’ service pages to better communicate AAS’s value.

“At one point, I think I just gave them a bullet point list of services our company offers.” Kevin laughs. “Well, they took that list and created a beautiful page that perfectly captured our voice. It wasn’t just some marketing campaign; it was our words, brimming with all of our passion.”

Inbound Interactive also began a rigorous link building campaign to improve AAS’s domain authority. This was a challenge because AAS is a small business operating in an industry dominated by large franchises.

Nevertheless, their rankings began to improve.

Results

$250,000 Revenue Increase Over Two Years

Since Lynn and Kevin hired Inbound Interactive back in 2015, revenue is up and search rankings are at an all time high.

“We’re ranking within the top three search results for all of our targeted terms.” Kevin beams. “Since we started working with Inbound Interactive, our traffic, leads, and revenue are all higher than ever before. Revenue has increased by about 30%, $250,000, since we started working with them in 2015.”

Website traffic has also skyrocketed, with a 177.25% increase in organic search traffic since AAS hired Inbound Interactive.

In fact, site health has been so positive that AAS recently decided to expand their services. As of January 2017, they began offering home care solutions for seniors citizens, and they specialize in caring for patients who struggle with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

“Our ultimate goal is to keep people in their own homes longer,” Lynn says. “Nursing homes are often understaffed, experience high turnover, or are unprepared to communicate with the people in their care. We wanted to provide a complete experience for senior citizens that would allow them to stay home as long as possible.”

Inbound Interactive helped AAS achieve that goal by helping them launch and manage a brand new AdWords campaign. They also built a dedicated landing page that connected the ads to AAS’s website.

“We were stepping into a new market, with a new service. We needed to be competitive right away,” Kevin says. “Thanks to Inbound Interactive’s guidance on the AdWords campaign, people immediately found our new service. That freed us up to devote all of our energy to chasing our passion.”

The AdWords campaign and landing page have already been huge successes for AAS.

“Anyone who doesn’t find us through organic search seems to find us through our ads and landing page,” Kevin admits. “Inbound Interactive created an all-encompassing picture of what our new services are, what they look like, and which packages we offer.”

AAS’s new landing page has been generating between 50-100 new sales leads per month, but neither Lynn nor Kevin seem particularly surprised by this increase.

“It was cool when we ranked #1 in search,” Kevin laughs, “but, no, we’re not surprised. Calin and his team know what they’re doing—we trust them.”
